Behavioral & Nutritional  Counseling

By providing nutrition counseling, we are able to help pet owners make informed decisions about their pet's diet, ultimately improving overall health and wellbeing.

Our behavior management services aim to improve the quality of life for pets and owners by addressing and modifying undesirable behaviors in a safe and effective manner.

What We Offer

  • Dietary Assessment - Our veterinarians will do a full evaluation of your pet's current diet, including type of food, feeding schedule, portion sizes, etc, to determine it's nutritional adequacy.

  • Specialized & Customized Diet Plans - Based on your pet's age, breed, weight, health status, and any specific dietary needs our doctors can recommend a customized diet plan to meet their nutritional requirements. Pets with specific health conditions such as kidney disease, food allergies, or diabetes, may require specialized diets and our veterinarians can recommend suitable diets to help manage these conditions.

  • Preventative Nutrition - Nutrition plays a crucial role in preventing certain diseases. We can provide you the guidance on how to use diet to maintain your pet's health and prevent future health issues.

  • Behavioral Assessment - Our veterinarians assess your pet's behavior as well as consult with owners to identify any underlying issues or triggers for undesirable behaviors.

  • Behavior Modification Plans - Based on the assessment, we will create a personalized behavior modification plan to address specific behavior problems, such as aggression, anxiety, or inappropriate urination.

  • Training & Specialist Referrals - Our doctors and staff may recommend training techniques, certain classes, or even specific trainers to help address behavioral issues and improve obedience and socialization skills.

  • Environmental & Lifestyle Recommendations - Providing a stimulating environment can help prevent boredom and reduce problem behaviors; we can help you figure out the best way to provide that for your pet. Our doctors may also recommend changes to your pet's overall lifestyle to help improve their behavior.

  • Medication Management - In some cases, we may prescribe medications to help manage severe behavioral issues and to aid in training and socialization efforts.
